Microsoft Edge will not update on macOS

I posted this on another Microsoft forum, but is anyone else having problems with MS Edge updating automatically on macOS?

The new installation method is similar to Chrome: you download the .DMG file and drag the Edge app package to the /Applications folder. Upon first launch, Edge deploys the EdgeUpdater files into my home directory (~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/EdgeUpdater), but updates are never run. Edge always reports that it's up to date, despite being a version or two behind.

Anyone else seeing this?

    the same issue, DMG package install updater always show up to date. but install by pkg package for biz updater.
