As I am noticing today, this change has made it to the Beta channel with still no way to disable. This means in about 6 weeks, users will have a choice to make; whether they give up fighting Microsoft's misplaced priorities and choose another default browser or stick with the pain of absolutely unnecessary features being constantly shoved in their faces.
