- Hey there, I'm back with an update! Arabic is not currently a supported language in the Add Text feature (sorry for not catching that before asking a bunch of extra questions!)
The team is looking to increase the language support for Add Text and I made sure they knew we have an interest here for Arabic, but no current updates on when the supported languages might change. Sorry I don't have an immediate fix for this!
Same with some unicode characters, words containing č or Č (unicode 010D or 010C respectively) still disappearing, there are a lot of claimed-by-edge-team-supported languages such as Slovenian, but it is still impossible to add text with simple čirk... =(
wvolkovI abandoned Edge as a tool for editing PDFs and adopted Firefox. Its latest version is occupied with a text tool and one can add text in Greek language very smoothly and easily. Microsoft seems not to care for amending this faulty feature.
For me, problem solved.
