Microsoft Edge on MacOS Sierra 10.12.3 Crashes on Account Sign-in

Question

I recently just installed Edge on my system but I can't sign-in to my account because it immediately crashes when I sign-in to my account. The crash happens after clicking next (entering email) and when the spinning circle/load begins.

One possible reason could be that the version you mention is nearing it end of life:https://computing.cs.cmu.edu/news/2019/eol-macos-sierra
