Microsoft Edge in Kiosk mode (assigned access) clear memory/cache after restarting the kiosk

When Microsoft Edge is set in kiosk mode (assigned access), the browser memory/cache is probably cleaned up after restarting the kiosk. This will lose the settings for the Web Serial API. Can this behavior be turned off? I do not want to set the COM Port every time the kiosk is restarted.
