Microsoft Edge File:// links opening to folder

I've changed our group policy to ""Allow Intranet Files Links" and enable file:// links on our company intranet when browsing with Edge.  it is working well except when trying to open to a folder it opens to the parent folder with the intended folder selected.  I'd like it to actually open the intended folder in the same way it does in IE. 

Example : <a href="file://server19-fs/network/imaging/bom/" > opens to "imaging" folder with "bom" folder  selected.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
