Just to confirm MS Edge opens and stays open, but doesn't load any page content or settings correct?
I think a good first troubleshooting step for this is running the Windows repair tool on the browser. To do this, enter Apps & features in the search box of the Windows task bar > Find and select MS Edge > Modify > Yes > Repair > Test.
