Memory Usage Comparison - Test #2
I've done a few more tests, with different page amounts (5, 10, 15, 20), and the impression I'm getting is that Chrome Canary is a little bit better than Edge-Chromium Canary right now regarding RAM consumption.
I estimate* (in my tests) around 10% to 20% less memory usage on Chrome Canary than on Edge-Chromium Canary. This is a huge quality advance for Google Chrome (the memory eater**).
However, everything may change in the next versions, as we are dealing with Canary versions.
* For example, in the test with 5 open pages, Google Chrome Canary consumed around 900MB and Edge-Chromium Canary 1100MB. This means about 20% less memory consumption in Chrome than in Edge. But this value changed as I used more pages, but always around 10% to 20%.
