Memory management

Something I've noticed lately as a heavy tab, window and virtual desktop user is that Chromium doesn't handle memory as well as it used to. When memory is super tight, the entire screen will go black and if you're quick enough, you can close a window to bring Chromium back. If you aren't, Chromium will crash. I've encountered the OOM (out of memory) page error but the black screen and possible crash has happened more often. As an incognito/private/inPrivate user, this gets frustrating. Chromium usually freezes and discards tabs beautifully. I don't know what changed.
