MacOS: Dialog not disappearing after entering or exiting fullscreen until mouse moves
I am using Microsoft Edge on MacOS. When I enter or exit fullscreen on a Youtube, Netflix video, I get the "Press ? to exit full screen" dialog, but this dialog stays until I start and end a mouse movement. I also noticed that this happens when Edge is in full screen mode, but not windowed mode.
- mabsterBrass ContributorI've been seeing this behaviour on Windows 11 (although it's "Press Esc to exit full screen", of course) for the past month or two.
In tablet mode on the Surface Pro 8, you go full screen on YouTube or Twitch, and that message pops up and doesn't disappear until you either tap the screen or adjust the volume. Once you've interacted with the device in some way, the message fades away after a few seconds like it's supposed to. - Neon01Steel Contributor
VictorG1405 Yes, I can confirm this bug on my Windows 10 machines, affecting all Edge branches (Stable, Beta, Dev, Canary).
It's even more annoying on tablets. Since there's no mouse, you have to long press the screen (eq. a right click, which makes the video stop), then tap again to get rid of the context menu and finally click on play to restart the video. It is only related to Edge, my Chrome installations don't show this behaviour.
Could someone of the Edge developer team please look into this and fix it? Thanks. - Katherine_GarrowayCopper Contributor
