It's not about screen shots. Add notes & Share allow way, way, more than that. And all without having to employ anything (an app) outside the browser being used or page being viewed. KISS in full force.

If you look at the current old Edge notes feature you would see it is just a screenshot tool. You can't take notes in the entire page since it allo capture the on-screen content in the moment you choose to take notes. That means it is allowing inking on a screenshot. No more. I agree it should be more then that. I would be happy if they say not to bring the old notes experience in the new edge because a newer revolutionary one in being worked on. Then I would probably not release the new Edge until this feature is ready since it is somehow stupid to release a new version of product with features removed.

PDF files however have the ability to contain the highlights or inks in themselves. I wish MHTML pages would have had the same feature.
