How to prevent the frequent "Confirm your account details to sign in" in Edge Browser?
- It seems there has been a changed between Edge 116 and 117 and I am trying to find what this is to see if there is a GPO setting that controls this behaviour. The issue is that navigating to a site would previously display the pop up "Confirm your account details to sign in" only the first ever time you access a certain site, however, this has changed with Edge 117 and this seems to happen every time accessing the same site now. Rolled Edge back to 116 and confirm the behaviour doesn't happen, and upgraded to 118 and confirm it does what 117 does.
Looking to find what setting I need to tweak to arrest this behaviour as it is causing issues.
Thank you

That issue with Edge can be frustrating—I’ve seen it happen when sync settings or stored credentials get out of sync with Microsoft servers. You might want to try clearing saved passwords and re-signing in with multi-factor authentication enabled. While digging into similar technical tools, I came across a resource focused on https://stjohnscountypropertyappraiser.org/ that’s worth exploring for those interested in reliable data access and transaction insights.

You might want to check if any authentication policies or cached credentials are affected by recent browser updates. Sometimes, session behavior changes unexpectedly across versions. While troubleshooting, it could be helpful to explore how session-based behaviors impact other areas like data retention or tax records—this guide on https://orangecountypropertyappraiser.org/ can offer insights into handling user consistency in form submissions and related browser settings.

You can try clearing your browser cache and cookies or disabling any conflicting extensions to reduce repeated sign-in prompts in Edge. Also, make sure you're using the latest version of the browser, as updates often fix such bugs. For users dealing with sensitive legal or administrative tasks, this kind of issue can be especially frustrating—especially if you're trying to access tools like an inmate search Davidson during work. Syncing your Microsoft account properly across devices may also help streamline the experience.

One effective way to reduce the "Confirm your account details to sign in" prompt in Edge is by clearing saved credentials and updating your browser to the latest version. Also, turning off auto sign-in under profile settings might help. If you're trying to manage employee portals or sign-ins regularly, tools like Secure Sobeys login can streamline access and reduce interruptions. Consider using a trusted password manager for smoother authentication across sessions.

It sounds like the behavior change in Edge 117 and 118 might be linked to stricter security or session validation settings. To prevent the frequent 'Confirm your account details to sign in' prompt, you could try these steps:
- Check GPO Settings: Look for any new group policy settings related to user authentication or session management introduced in Edge 117+. Adjust them to reduce unnecessary prompts.
- Cookies and Site Data: Ensure cookies and site data for the specific websites are set to 'Allow' under the browser settings, as clearing these frequently might trigger reauthentication.
- Edge Profiles: If using multiple profiles, ensure you're accessing the site from the same profile to maintain session consistency.
- Feedback to Microsoft: Report this as a potential bug or a feature regression if no settings resolve it.
For sites involving sensitive data, like public records on https://arrestsss.org, this prompt could be a security feature. However, for routine or trusted sites, it might just be an inconvenience. Adjusting your browser policies or whitelisting trusted sites could help minimize this issue."
