How to open Microsoft Edge Workspaces file

My laptop crashed and after reboot, when I opened up Edge - not all my workspaces were saved. 

 

However, I see all the recovered workspaces under C:\Users\sutalukdar\OneDrive - Microsoft\Apps\Microsoft Edge\Edge Workspaces

 

How do I open the .edge file? I tried to double click, select Edge as the default program but it still doesn't open up. I had so many tabs and favorites saved under those workspaces - it will be a wasted effort if I can't recover them.
