Sep 16, 2019How to hide/disable the "status bar" ?
When you place your mouse over a link or image, a black stripe appears in the lower-left corner of the screen showing the address of that link or image. When you open a page, this "status bar" appears again showing messages like "Loading ...." or "Waiting ...."
I don't know what the black stripe name is, but it seems to have the function of the old "status bar".
I particularly don't like it showing up, and I see no use at all for that.
How does the user can disable this "status bar"?

That seems to be hard coded into Chromium. From what I can tell it can't manually be turned off. I looked it up real fast, and I guess others in the past have inquired about this issue before:
