High CPU Usage caused by MSN NTP Service Worker.
Edge Version 88.0.705.50 (Official build) (64-bit)
Windows 10
This happens even when I don't have a blank 'new tab' open.
I have reported the issue via the 'Send Feedback' and included a Diagnostic Log.

BaSsGaz I'm on Mac OS and experiencing the same thing. CPU is ramped and it's making Edge pretty un-useable today.
Submitted a report and crossing my fingers this gets fixed...
edit: tried the above idea of disabling the preload new tab experience....did nothing, the service is still going nuts at times
