Global media control problems
global media control center is empty, and after having hovered with mouse : the controls are appearing
This appears to be a problem we've inherited from Chromium when it comes to non-Youtube sites. If you try Chrome Canary, you'll see something similar.

- It looks like this has since been fixed in Chromium, so I'll ask why we didn't pick up the fix.
