feature request; add a confirmation to deleting downloads
hello, i just deleted a microsoft edge download with the trash icon that is in the control + j menu. this works as intended. however said download was actually Very Important to me; it is a project that i had been working on for a while. i did not mean to delete it. i cannot go download it again; i would have to start the project again. now i am upset because i have to start the project again. i did try file recovery software, but it appears the delete icon completely wiped both the file and any traces of existence it left on my drive.
i would like for the delete button to do some of these;
- send the item to the recycle bin (where literally every other deleted item goes)
- ask for a confirmation that you want to delete the item (makes the process of deleting an item slightly longer, but makes accidental deletes much harder)
- not completely wipe your file (it is COMPLETELY gone at least let me use file recovery software)
i have no idea why the button only needs 1 press to completely eradicate your file without asking and giving you no possibility of recovering it. this is not cool
