Extension manifest v3 Favicon api not working properly

**Description**
The favicon api is not working properly, it's a hit or miss situation. Most of the time you could visit a website and wait until it fully loads and see the favicon loaded in the tab but then you can't access it using the api.

the same api works flawlessly on chrome.

OS: Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
