Since the update of edge chromium to version 84.0.522.40, we have this error after browsing sites in internet explorer compatible mode: Sharepoint 2013 or others
It's the same with Beta, Dev or Canary version, Windows 10 1809 or 1909.

We opened a case with Microsoft. They can reproduce the issue and it is related to the following IE GPO:

If you remove this setting the error disappears. Microsoft is working on a permanent solution.

They are working on a permanent solution.
just to clarify a bit, we are using 84.0.522.40, and have been since we started rolling out (about 4 weeks now), this issue did not exist until today. We have also not applied ANY updates except Windows defender updates (which are set to automatically approve).
The version Version 84.0.522.40 is available since July 16 (1 week)
