Edige IE mode, 32-bit?

- Yes, window.opener works the same as in IE if both windows are IE mode. I didn't tried configuration when parent window is chromium and popup is IE or vice versa.
mindst thanks. Yeah, I was going to put the server url in the Enterprise Mode Site List ("mailto:prodserver01@blah.com) so any windows and openers should have that same base url before any paths are appended, etc. That means they should all render IE mode automatically at window load.
Hey, mindst . Did you follow those (fairly) complicated policy steps? It does look like ActiveX might already be part of this. I also have MSXML stuff, xml islands (IE emulate previous versions are in the HTML heads)...hehehe. I don't see all the dots connecting to make this work. 🙂

So by default it IE content processes uses 32bit, you need extra action to make them 64bit. That blog post was for win7 and win8, but things doesn't changed for win10.mindst Hello. It's been a awhile, obviously, and I've been messing around some more, particularly with the IE "Display intranet sites in Compatibility view". I have this enabled by policy because a few intranet sites have emulate IE9 meta tags. This was doen because they have XML islands and to recode all those calls with XHR and controlling asynchronous/synchronous calls would be an undertaking. Would you know if compatibility and emulate previous IE versions is supported in Edge IE mode?
While I'm here, I've een reading about a new Chrome Edge browser? Does this still have IE mode capability? Thank you so much.
Hi, I'm not really sure what our group policy is for IE11, but I think Extended protected mode isn't checked by default. We don't have any specific shortcuts to launch 32bit browser, we had on XP machines. And all our 32bit stuff works inside IE. I guess it runs 32bit mode by default, for compatibility reasons. With Edge I just have enabled group policy to transfer intranet pages to IE mode and on 64bit machines Edge also uses 32bit IE mode as 32bit activex controls works as before.
But I guess you may need to uncheck "Enabled protected mode" for intranet zone (guess we talking about intranet zone), as this one is not checked on my machine and is controlled via group policy.
I can only suggest you to make several test: use 64bit machine and try to open your pages that requires 32bit browser. I think there are only two options that you need to look at "Enchanced protected mode" on Advanced tab and "Enable protected mode" on security tab.
