edge136.0.3218.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) crashes a lot on windows 11
edge Version 136.0.3218.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) is crashing after few minutes of runtime.

So far all is well with version 136.0.3235.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit). Even editing no longer crashes Edge.

136.0.3234.0 still fails the "But, and I have put a comma in that shouldn't be there and will now edit it out." test. Instant crash.

I test the edit option
EDIT : it's good

Crashing here when selecting any words grouped or singularly with red underscore or blue underscore showing either incorrectly written or misspelled crashes edge to desktop.... Poof... Version 136.0.3233.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit)

But, and I have put a comma in that shouldn't be there and will now edit it out. And Canary has gone. It is not good.

Have had it opened and in use all day and no crash. Don't know what has changed since yesterday, but today no crashing....

No crashing of its own accord I agree. But, try editing - I have tried to remove that comma after "But" three times now. The moment I position the cursor? Canary is gone. This happens here, Reddit, PentaxForums, eBay and more. Editing means an instant crash.

Yes, editing seems to be a problem even in this new version, "Version 136.0.3231.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit)" Clicking on any part of text you are typing and trying to correct seems to make edge stop responding and crashing to desktop.....

My young IT self would have started eliminating things like extensions. My old retired IT self says that someone else's job 😁
Since I deliberately left mine idle, I'd venture a guess that something in the background was trying to accomplish something it couldn't. Maybe a wonky system call. That's for Microsoft to tell us.

Lol, yeah my ole retired 70+ year ole self thinks the same, but my "have to know" self likes to dig. I've gone in and one at a time turned things off and then on, but found nothing. So far not having any trouble...

3227 has been stable for me (it has not crashed) since I wrote the reply below yesterday. I hesitate to say it's fixed because I don't use it as my everyday browser. But like the others it was crashing. And for me, while literally sitting idle.

Yes, seems to be good with the last version

3227 seems to be a tad more stable. Been up for 3+ hours so far... Of course, I've now cursed it 😂

I test 3227, will see

Running Version 136.0.3227.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) for 3+ hours and then poof, crashed...

Version 136.0.3227.0 now runs for > 60 minutes without crashing!
