Edge Workspaces “Unable to load workspaces” on all devices – account-level issue?
Hello,
I’m experiencing a persistent issue with Microsoft Edge Workspaces and I’m looking for guidance from the Edge team or community.
Whenever I try to open or create a Workspace, I get the error:
“Unable to load workspaces”.
What makes this issue particularly concerning is that it happens:
- On multiple Windows PCs
- On a Linux PC (Ubuntu)
- On Edge Stable and Edge Canary
- Always with the same Microsoft account
Troubleshooting already attempted:
- Sign out / sign in
- Full Edge reset
- Cache and cookies cleared
- Sync disabled and re-enabled
- Sync data reset
- Verified no Workspaces folder exists in OneDrive
- Tested with Edge Canary
Since the error reproduces consistently across different machines and operating systems, this does not appear to be a local installation issue. It looks like a corruption or invalid state of the Edge Workspaces data stored in my Microsoft account.
Unfortunately, this is a free account, so I have no direct channel to request a backend reset of the Workspaces data.
Has anyone from the Edge team seen similar cases?
Is there a way to trigger a reset or cleanup of Edge Workspaces data at the account level?
Any help or escalation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
