Edge Update to Edge Chromium

Unfortunately the change to Edge Chromium loaded itself last night. I cant delete the update in any way I have found. It is making the internet so slow it is impossible. Going to any website jsut shows loading circles but nothing evr actually loads. Even my outlook emial is suddenly running at snail pace. How can I get rid of this change and revert back to the 'old' dge without endangering my system?
