Edge please add option to open new tab and switch to it immediately

Please add in Edge the option to open new tab and switch to it immediately.

I cannot use Edge as my main browser without this basic option.

Also please add the option to right-click any link > open new tab and switch to it immediately.

    We are planning to add more options to the tab feature and have them in the works still.

     

    You can open links in new tabs it just won't switch to it automatically, but hopefully, we can get features like this released soon.

     

    I would also recommend sending in this feedback through the Smiley Face on the top right corner of your browser. (Every feedback helps)

      Ditto here. Having to use shift-ctrl with a left click on the mouse is a pain. IE had the option as does FireFox. This has been something users have requested with Edge from day one! And the primary reason FireFox is my default browser.

      Thanks for the quick reply. For me I am so use to this feature I cannot use a browser for long without it.

      That is the only reason I use Mozilla Firefox as my main browser. Looking forward to testing more Edge features.
