Edge News: Hidden Sources and Topics do not stay hidden
Yes, if on all computers you are logged into Edge with the same Microsoft account, then synchronization should work - it definitely bothers!
Please submit feedback, open the Edge settings and at the bottom expand the tab (help and feedback) this is the right place to report this issue.
in the Application you can add your own interests (specify in detail what you are interested in, then it will be the information you need, the rest you can ignore without having to scroll
I will add that here in MTC you have two different profiles, which means that they are also not the same Microsoft accounts, perhaps this is the cause of your problems?

I have checked my home surfacepro to ensure that I am logged into my "work" account. I seem to have been able to save preferences. Sync is on. But now I am in my office, also logged in to my work account with sync on. No preferences saved at home are here--all of that is completely blank. Nor are any other preferences saved on this device from last week. I have rebooted to no effect.
Since I haven't used Microsoft's news service for a long time, this post confirmed that you have to ignore (an underdeveloped product.)
current {News and Interests} - as a system task, unfortunately they work similarly - there is no way to change the language and region, it is just very annoying!
