Edge logs me out of Gmail every time I close the browser
I have had the exact same problem for the last few months using Windows 11 PRO 25H2 and I do not have any Edge extensions, nor have I ever had any Edge extensions. I don't have any switches enabled for the "remove on close" settings, I also added google.com to the "add sites" section, but Microsoft EDGE logs me out of Google, Google Maps, and other Google services frequently, even within a few hours if I simply close my browser on occasion. Edge never logs me out of any other application, at least for many months. And, CHROME never logs me out of Google. So, this seems to me to be a bug in EDGE related to Google. Perhaps it's Microsoft trying to prioritize my Microsoft identity which creates a conflict with my google login (google session cookies)? I have Microsoft 365 Personal subscription. I have not tried to "repair" EDGE since that didn't work for others. I have not created a new Edge profile either. I have cookies for 1485 websites and I don't want to be logged-out of hundreds of them. However, if you can guarantee me that creating a new Edge profile will work, I will give it a try? GEMINI suggests Disable Microsoft Profile Conflicts - set "Automatically sign in to sites with your personal Microsoft account (previously 'current work or school account')?" to OFF. That seems more likely the root cause? HOWEVER, that switch in my Edge settings is already disabled so that's not the solution. I have disabled both this setting and "Allow single sign on for work or school sites" as suggested by GEMINI but that does not work either. My google login was retained for the duration of the day (typically it logs off by simply closing the Edge browser) but after restarting my PC I was no longer logged-in to google in EDGE (but like usual was logged-in in Chrome). Screen shot below shows my settings.
So, it's a bug in EDGE. Any thoughts on when this will be fixed?
