Edge Insider update/restart/reminder is bugged?

I'm running edge through daily updated canary channel and today I've received a notification to update. I went through to help and feedback>About Page>(edge://settings/help) to update and clicked restart but I cant get edge to finish the update or it thinks its not done because it just keeps saying to "update to finish". I've tried multiple times to exit all tabs and remove all cache and data.
