Edge Insider not restoring Favorites

Question

I have been running the Dev version of Edge Chromium since launch, and with every new build I hope to see the browser restore my favorites after I start syncing.

Today I had to reinstall windows (hardware upgrade) and, as always, Edge restored my passwords and some of the settings I use but NOT MY FAVORITES. My favorites folder is empty and so is the Favorites Bar.

WHY? Will this EVER be fixed?
