Edge IE Mode child window icons

Hello. If you have a minute, I have Domino based apps using Edge IE Mode.  Strangely, child browser window icons (opened with window.open...etc... javascript) display the Domino icon down in the windows task bar (or whatever the bottom bar is called with the active and/or installed application icons). When running in IE standalone, the child windows are all displaying the IE icon. I noticed during launch of the child window that the status bar icon cycles from Edge icon to IE icon to Domino icon while loading. Has anybody seen this or have an idea how to resolve?     More info...I see it's a favicon thing. I guess for a parent window, the favicon is "suppressed" by the IE mode but for the window.open... child window, it's not? Ty.
