The best and fastest way to open favorites in a new tab, has been shared with us all by RG23 . Click and Grab whatever Favorite you want to open in a new tab and drop it on the current page you have open and it will open that favorite in a new tab. It's that simple! Grab and Drop. Simple! Hi
Just to let you Know that there is now a proper extension available to open bookmarks in a new tab.
Three Dots - Extensions - Get Extensions for Microsoft Edge - Type in " Open Bookmarks in a New Tab " and up it comes 4th Item Down.
Works absolutely PERFECT just as it used to be.
Click on the bookmark and it opens in a new tab and moves to it automatically.
It was your posting, sent to my email address, that prompted me to forage about and led to me discovering it.
Problem finally resolved.
Regards,
Peterwink

Hi
There is now a proper extension available.
Tree Dots - Extensions - Get Extensions for Microsoft Edge ( Bottom Option ) - Type in " Open Bookmarks in a New Tab " and up it comes 4th Item Down.
It was added on 12th May.
I would like to spread the Word but I am not totally au fait with the method to do that.

Unfortunately, I have found (and reported) a bug with this extension. With the extension activated, when the add bookmark function is opened (ctrl+d or the "star") the bookmark is saved immediately, but in the last folder that was saved to before the extension was activated. Changing the folder or even clicking on "Remove" in the pop-up window have no effect. The only way the bookmark can be moved to a different folder or deleted, is using the dedicated bookmarks window. As soon as the extension is deactivated, the add bookmark behaviour reverts to normal.
This is probably more of a pain than a show-stopper. Hopefully, the developer comes up with a solution.
