Edge downloads are not completing

I found that sensece had a lock on the file, I also noticed on several machines the startup type of a couple of defender related services was incorrect. So if you are using defender your issue may be the same as mine
I noticed in teh sense logs the following services did not have the correct startup types set they were both set to 4
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SgrmAgent
"Start"=dword:00000000
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SgrmBroker
"Start"=dword:00000002
This seems to have helped ion the system i have tried it on so farShould have said you need to reboot

We are seeing this with more with chrome but definitetly have it with our users on edge as well. I tried the changes on my rig and rebooted. Upon reboot this did not fix the issue. I made sure the registry changes didn't revert. So mileage my vary.- WheresMaWhiskeyDec 13, 2023Copper Contributor
That is disappointing i was hopeful as worked on my test machines but I was aware this was not a wide enough test sample and I have found the issue to be intermittent
I suppose at least I was right it was sensece that was issue, have to cling to some small crumb of comfort

I am just testing it the moment so have not looked at pushing the service startup from intune yet as we are hybrid I will more likley just do it in a GPO
If you look in the sense logs and look for warning you should see it saying the startup types are wrong if your issue is the same, just thought i would share what seems to be helping me as started to see quite a few posts about this
