Edge Chromium open up multiple tabs while scrolling down Facebook notifications?

When I am scrolling down notifications in either Facebook or Quora multiple tabs start appearing as items I am scrolling past are opened as tabs. Is there any way to turn this off?

    Hi wjones42, I am running Version 80.0.318.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit), and I am not seeing tabs open as I scroll through my Facebook feed.  Can you give me a little bit more information on what you are doing, what version of Microsoft Edge you are running and if you have any extensions or flags enabled?  Thanks - Elliot

      Edge Chromium Dev. Just updated Winows to current level. And with both updated again today, the problem still occurs. It doesn't happen in the Edge Windows ships with, Firefox, or Waterfox. Just Chromium Edge. I don't use Chrome, so U cannot say about it. System has 16G RAM, Ryzen 5 2600, GTX-970, Samsung 1 TAB SSD.
