Edge built-in search engine Yandex connecting to Russia?

This is an old post – Edge doesn't use IE mode anymore.
The problem, in my opinion, no longer exists.
- Was there reference to IE Mode in this post? I was curious about the traffic being generated to yandex.ru
The Edge team fixes bugs on an ongoing basis, and security is a high priority.
IE mode, in my opinion, allowed this kind of network traffic without user involvement.
