Edge Beta duplicates Edge Startup Tabs and vice versa

I have my Edge "On startup" setting set to "Open a specific page or pages". When I open up Edge Beta it overrides the open Tabs in Edge Beta and duplicates the Tabs from Edge. I have both pinned to the Taskbar. Is this intentional? Anyway to override?
