Duplicate favorites bug in the latest version of Edge (81.0)

I have the same issue for a large part but in my case i'm also getting very old favorites synced from somewhere which i have not used and even deleted. They are taking up space in my favorites bar while the actual recent favorites which i use on a daily basis are being moved out of view because of this. I must also note that the favicons are missing. This is ridiculous! How are there only 3 posts about this to be found? I have now updated to 81.0.416.68, let's hope it's fixed with that but it looks this is only a security update and not a fix for the favorites: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/DeployEdge/microsoft-edge-relnote-stable-channel

Does anyone know if it's possible to see when a favorite was added by the sync service and where it came from? I have two desktop PC's, a laptop and a remote desktop.
