Not sure about this feature specifically but what I want is to set the language when setting up Edge and since Microsoft is a primarily US company then the default language should be set to English but can be changed when setting up Edge for the first time. You should also be able to go into settings and change the default language, have it autodetect your language, and have it work off of the windows, Mac, or Linux system settings to determine your language if you want it to.
