Discussion - Set Aside Tabs and Warn on Close
I find it rather curious that Microsoft is still researching an issue with 20,000 views and 289 posts.
As I said a year and half a go . . .
"The vast majority of Microsoft apps (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) give the user the option to save the open document before closing. Not Edge, it wipes everything that you've been working on, closes all tabs and the application.
It seems like a no-brainer to include a warning that you are about to close all tabs and the application. Why is there even a discussion?"
Our office has dispensed with using Edge in favor of Firefox. However, recently we tried Opera at home and it seems to be faster than Edge with the features that Microsoft has been ignoring. Thank you Norway!!!
For now our users don't complain about this.
Websites should alsways save user input and don't rely on user clicking on save buttons.
No reason for uninstalling Edge.
