Discussion - Set Aside Tabs and Warn on Close
One of most annoying thing about Chrome was closing all tab pages.
Very simple solution: dig out the old IE code to:
1. Ask about closing tabs.
2. Have a custom URL page for new tab (sorry, as much as you want sell Bing, ain't gonna happen).
3. Single click to open History side-bar (option for left or right side, remember if open/closed).
I believe that's how IE worked in the passed.

Ask about closing tabs (warn when closing multiple tabs) is already implemented.
Custom URL for new tab page has nothing to do with Bing. Bing is a search engine, you can change default search engine of Edge and search engine of search bar in the middle of new tab page to other engines, from settings.
edge://settings/search
few months ago, they implemented a feature to set custom URL for new tab page

in order to remember the Pinned state of Edge sidebars (whether it's history, favorites etc.), please submit a feedback using feedback button on Edge (shortcuts: Alt + Shift + i )
