Dev channel update to 97.0.1072.8 is live

When vertical tabs are used and the bar is collapsed, the tabs which have been clicked/opened, now display the close button (X), rather than site's icon.
VladislavKosev the issue with both the expanded pane not showing the x's and the collapsed pane always showing the x's was recently fixed, so you should see the fix soon if you haven't gotten it yet!
- This update did not fix this issue but in Canary, it appears to be ok. Waiting on the next DEV update.
- I got an update several days ago, but that didn't change anything with the tabs. I'm on version 97.0.1072.13.
- Same for me with this version. Canary appears working fine and also Edge stable release also. Guess we need to wait on the next DEV release.

The fix worked for a while, but the problem has returned.
This started happening for me, too, but now the problem has worsened: when the vertical tabs bar is expanded, now none of the tabs show the 'X' to close until I click on the tab to make it current. Each tab I make current then shows the 'X' all the time, as you are seeing. I tried restarting Edge but that didn't help. Edge Canary does not have this problem.
- It appears that the window title text in the tab and the close button is covering the site icon. I had to widen the vertical tab bar and pin it so that the close button doesn't cover up the icon.
- I have same issue the whole vertical bar seems very flaky and over responsive.
