After applying this update, Edge no longer would open for me instantly.  A blank window opened and after a while the top bar with minimize, close buttons appears .. but title bar just says "unresponsive".  I kept closing and reopening with no luck.

 

Finally I just left it open and about 5 minutes and the "you've been upgraded" page did finally appear... and the browser worked as expected.

 

But when I close it and open it again, the same thing happens every time.  Big white blank screen for about 5 min, then finally opens.

The same is happening to me, but the delay is maybe 15-20 seconds. In-private window opens up instantly. Also, each time I close and re-open the browser, my account goes back to "setting up sync".

    manania just watched and it takes about 1.5 minutes every time I launch Edge from Launch to actually getting a web page rendered.

    PS - incognito does launch instantly though.

      Nope, incognito window still have the same problem. The thing is that you see it is faster because you already have a normal windows open. if you close all EDGE windows and only open incognito, still same get 5-6 sec. white rectangle.

        Widzę że wielu ludzi potwierdza długi czas ładowania Edge !
        Ja to nie potwierdzam !
        Wybrałem Edge na wielu komputerach i nie instaluje dodatkowych przeglądarek !
        Podstawą jest usunięcie zbędnych plików w całym systemie i załadowanie aktualizacji z ponownym uruchomienie i oczyszczeniem dysku C aby Windows dobrze współpracował !
        Spowolnienie Edge jest często spowodowane dodatkowym Antywirusowym oprogramowanie które sobie nie radzi z przepływem danych !
        Konfiguracja całego systemu ma wpływ na działanie Edge !
        Nie można tego oddzielnie zanalizować bo ocena będzie nie sprawiedliwa dla Edge !
