Dev channel update to 88.0.680.1 is live
Hello Insiders! Today we’re releasing build 88.0.680.1 to the Dev channel. To start with, we want to mention a specific issue that we know some of you have been running into where Edge won’t launch...
This version is causing a lot of issues with YouTube video play back. It seems to struggle to cope with some videos and the videos freeze, but sound continues. If I go in to fullscreen mode, the videos suddenly go in to 4 x speed or something similar.
At first, I thought it was a problem with my connection, but I don't get this issue in other browsers.
Mapantz what kind of device are you using, and what kind of video is being shown? By which I mean, if you right-click the video and view the "stats for nerds", are there a lot of dropped frames being listed, and what codec is it using?
