I found this bug where if you type in something in the address bar and press backspace (to try to delete characters) the whole browser crashes.

jchow (and everybody else seeing this) sorry for the late replies, it's been a busy week for me!  So, the crashing issue actually was two completely separate issues.  

 

The first one (which most people were hitting) had a fix put into Canary and Stable today, and Dev and Beta will get it next week.  The crash was caused by a change in a service that hit client-side code that was old enough to be in all our channels (yay:cryingwithlaughter:).  Most people actually saw a reduction in crashes when the service-side fix was rolled back yesterday, but it still doesn't appear to be 100% mitigated right now since we're still seeing crashes, albeit at a much smaller rate.  

The other crash should have only affected people on Windows Insider builds, but crashed in almost the same way.  In that case, there was no workaround, but it should have only been happening in Canary, and a fix for that crash was also shipped in today's Canary.
