For blurry issues, try adjusting (msedge.exe) > Properties > Compatibility > Hi-DPI settings and uncheck any checkbox there.
Also turning on the accent colors on window title and borders would help seeing the active tab better.

Will my HiDPI screen continue to be usable even after I disable those options?

The tab strip design was reverted back to the old design in
Microsoft Edge Version 83.0.467.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit)

I have no HiDPI flags checked in there, I just tried, right now, to enable them in any combination and none makes any visible change. I know the same issue exists in Chromium/Electron as well and affects all platforms, not only Windows.

That's a big i18n fail there, how did that ever pass internal Microsoft testing?
josh_bodner Can you make an internal ticket to get the layout of this fixed please? I'm sure a lot of other languages will also fail i18n here....
