Dev channel update to 80.0.361.5 is live
it's obvious that 50% like the yellow and 50% like the original gray ones.
so what Microsoft should do is to give us OPTIONS. gray, yellow, pink, purple and a few bunch of other colors. that's the best thing that can happen.

Maybe having the folders follow the system accent color could be a neat addition. I actually miss this aspect of UWPs, the usage of the accent color in many areas of the app

right now the Edge's title bar follow's Windows accent color and it's annoying me.
for example i want my taskbar and start menu and rest of the apps and Win32 programs get the accent color but Not Edge browser, because not all colors are suitable for texts that appear up there on the tabs.

I am also a fan of UWP design philosophy, however I do not think it works for a web browser. If you follow the evolution of web browsers, the idea is to remove as much of the interface as possible and let the websites/content be the focus. We don't have tool bars, status bars anymore, at least by default, only the essentials on top and as thin as possible. Web browsers are all about content. The less distracting elements we have in the interface, the better. Colors are distracting.
But yeah, if they actually include an option to chose the icon color, I don't see why not include the option to use accent color. Personally, I still think the white outlined icon in this specific case is a lot less distracting and that's what I would use if they hopefully give us that option.- HotCakeXDec 18, 2019MVP

in Android version of chrome as well as in the PWA UI of Edge this is happening. websites like YouTube turns the UI red, Amazon and IMDB turn them yellow, Twitch turns it purple and so on. this feature will make website developers happy too.
imagine have all of those websites open in different tabs and upon switching to each one of them, the UI color change with them too. of course this could be optional but it would look A*mazing.
