First time Poster: Yes! Windows 10: Today 1:25 P.M. Windows Crashed (no porn/ no bazaar websites, simply on Internet Explorer, Xfinity (provider) Got 'Microsoft Edge Blocked' with phone number to call Immediately!! Had to Shutdown Restart x3 Same thing. Called 888-521-1819: Voice no name; Identified as Microsoft Tech Support: Directed all kinds of help: He was in Laptop HP 320gb in 5 mins. All Windows Updates 11/5. Made sure I was vulnerable to the Service: Suddenly Demanded $500 payment to Rid of Virus? I argued Price? Then realized this was not Microsoft Edge Tech Support Possible Fraud? Please advise Thank you Gary Azevedo
1merced yes, this was a scam. We will never call you out of the blue, and if you ever get to a website that has an address you can report, we've got an option under ... > Help and feedback to report unsafe sites.
