Dev channel update to 80.0.320.3 is live

UPDATE 3:  320.5 has been released with the fix for Netflix not working.     UPDATE 2:  320.4 has been released with the fix for the Task Bar icons issue.  The Netflix issue is expected to be fix...

The shortcut/application icons are still the Edge Legacy design instead of the new design. Are the new icons not coming until release, or will a later dev release include them?

    Basaingeal Uninstall the current instance. Then remove delete installation folder from C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge Beta folder then reinstall again. It will bring the new icon.

    Basaingeal The new icons are there.  If you're not seeing the updated design try removing Edge from the desktop and adding it again.  You should see the new icon in the start menu.  I'm running build 80.0.320.3 (Windows 64-bit)

      If anyone does not see the new icon on the taskbar unpin it and then re-pin it to the taskbar from its listing on Start; Start will have the new icon, already, from when the last update was done.

        For me it only brings the new icon without the Can label

      People, all my Edge icons changed, automatically following the update... except for Canary on the taskbar.  Closed Canary, unpinned its icons from the taskbar, then, re-pinned from the Start menu & they right ones for Canary were, now, pinned to the taskbar.  So, there's a solution for y'all.

      Changed as soon as and along with the update.  BTW, notice the Start menu appearance; you are seeing all of it.

    Basaingeal For me the new icon doesn't show in the taskbar or the taskbar, but it does on the start menu. The reason it does not appear in the taskbar is because it points to "Edge Profile.ico" inside the profile folder, which hasn't been updated.

     

    EDIT: You can fix this by creating a new profile and deleting it, when doing this the ico file will be replaced with the new one even for the old profile.

        Basaingeal Where can I find that "Profile folder".  I do love the new LOGO. 

         

        Found it! 

        C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge Beta\User Data\Default
