New build 115.0.1880.1 downloaded and installed. Now Edge crashes about 10 sec after launching. I can't keep it running long enough to see why it's crashing. Rebooting didn't seem to help.

While it does not crash for me, it just does not render anything. All I am getting is a large completely black window with absolutely nothing inside and nothing clickable! Switching workspaces from the taskbar shortcuts does not do anything. No way to send feedback as well. Using stable until a fix is available. Update: I tried a hard reinstall for both consumer and business versions, still facing the same issue.

Something is very wrong, it crashes about ~10 seconds after launching. I can't even get to Send Feedback quickly enough to let you know why, or figure out what's causing it myself. Rolling back to 115.0.1866.1 immediately fixed whatever the issue is. You all really don't make it easy to roll Edge back at all, do you? Had to install a Group Policy (single machine, no domain) that I doubt will actually work to prevent it from updating until the next version rolls around, and run the MSI from an elevated prompt... https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download?form=MA13FJ From an elevated command prompt or PowerShell window:msiexec /I .\MicrosoftEdgeDevEnterpriseX64.msi ALLOWDOWNGRADE=1 Now all is well.

Just found the problem that makes the window completely blank, which is the flag "Enhance text contrast".If you have this problem, you can create a shortcut and add ' --no-experiments' to the end of the path in the target field, and you can open Edge with no problem with the shortcut.Afterwards, you can disable that "Enhance text contrast" flag from edge://flags/, and then everything should be back to normal now.

Thank you.Steps to apply the workaround:Locate the Edge Dev app, via File Explorer.Create a shortcut to it, on the Desktop.Right-click the shortcut, select Properties.In Properties, go to Shortcut tab.At the end of the Target field, add " --no-experiments".Click OK button to close Properties.Open the Shortcut: Edge Dev will open normally.Go to edge://flags/#edge-enhance-text-contrast Set this flag to "Disabled".Restart Edge Dev.Create shortcut, and add --no-experiments to Targetedge://flags/#edge-enhance-text-contrast

ok build: 115.0.1901.5 does fix my problem, i dont need to disabled my gpu anymore

Very difficult to test this build because it has been causing frequent crashes on eCommerce sites like Amazon etc. Usually the crash occurs after the site has rendered the page, but before I am able to scroll and browse it. Going to try disabling edge://flags/#edge-enhance-text-contrast as mentioned earlier to see if that resolves my issue.

  And sadly no, crashes still happen even with edge://flags/#edge-enhance-text-contrast set to disabled.
  
  The crash after Amazon loads is very easily reproducible on my end. Does not happen with the normal version of Edge, only the Dev build.

Does anyone know if there is a way to force Edge to put the title bars on every window? This is a recent issue in the last two builds I think.

I am having this issue with some websites - as you can see there is no way to close this opened window except with CTRL-W.

This is a problem which appears in Edge Dev, but not in Edge. Google Maps fails to render properly, and also zooming stutters, it's not smooth. In the included screenshot, Edge Dev is on the left, Edge on the right. Notice the incorrect rendering of the left sidebar, and the absence of other UI elements.

for me --disable-gpu did work, then the black window on startup is fine.

It doesn't matter which of the 2 gpu's i trie (intel or nvidia) both have the same black window problem, only disable the gpu works for me.

  formula155 after doing the Uninstall and Reinstall, it worked for me... Right up till I did a Reboot. Now it seems to be right back to where it was previously: Crashing at ever run.
  So will do the uninstall and reinstall but NO reboot as that worked yesterday for me.

I upgraded and I feel that Edge consumes more RAM than it should normally consume. Also I don't understand the removal of the rounded tabs, honestly it was one of the features I liked the most and I don't understand the reason for removing it and it's not mentioned in this post either. Also sometimes the browser closes for no reason after the update.
