MicrosoftDev channel update to 108.0.1438.1 is now live!
Hello again insiders, this week we introduce Edge 108 into the Dev channel. We have added new features, fixed current issues, and improved reliability. We have changed the behavior of other items...
same here. this version crashes every few mins on macOS 12.6, no matter what I do, even when idling.
marcdom1908 Right! It crashes silently when I leave it in the background.
This is disastrous. Any way or idea to rollback to previous version on our machine?
unfortunately there is no way to roll back afaik. while you could download an older installer like this:
it won't help since it will automatically autoupdate to the latest dev channel build again.
what I did for the time being was to install the latest Canary Channel build (which isn't affected), closing all Edge browsers, and copied over the contents from
~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft Edge Devto~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft Edge Canaryto keep all my settings/bookmarks/cookies, then restarted Canary build, and I am now using that until we have a fix for Dev Channel. 🙂- LisaSThe crashing is a known issue. Unfortunately, the fix for it was in 1439, so the best thing to do at the moment is use Canary since it has the fix.
