MicrosoftDev channel update to 102.0.1220.1 is live
I hoped this release would fix the problem I have on one of my PCs:
- I'm unable to show the Apps button on the toolbar, the corresponding toggle is missing on the Apps page (see screenshot 1)
- the Apps page appears as plain page when I select it from the ... menu instead of as a fly-out

On my other PC, the Apps page has an additional toggle to show the Apps button:

PLEASE. please for the love of god, edge will be *perfect* if i can just hide this icon.
WHY is it visible, why is it present, making it harder to tap on my top tab and serving absolutely no purpose as I would never turn off vertical tabs, they are the single best feature of edge.
and why does the setting to make it go away simply not do anything?!

I confirm. - josh_bodnerWhen the vertical tabs pane isn't collapsed, that top column is taken up by the collapse button, so since there's always going to be space there anyway for the tab actions menu, that setting only applies when you're using horizontal tabs to prevent people from accidentally turning on vertical tabs when they don't want them.
As for the settings crash, that should be fixed next week!ok, so can you add a setting that would remove this permanent button from the first position in my tabs that is essentially a UI SELF DESTRUCT button. its a very very inconvenient place to put it and i keep tapping it instead of my top icon.
like.. just .. logically speaking, there is no reason for this button to exist, let alone be positioned above the first tab. There is no justification you can provide that makes sense.
please fix.
