Create a permissions feature for extensions
Hello,
Recently I have encountered an issue with two related extensions called Pocket Tube which provides functionality for organizing both subscriptions and playlists into categories and sub-categories for YouTube. The issue is that to access the premium features (which I love and use) are tied into Patreon and therefore when accessing those premium features you have to sign into Patreon and allow email access (I don't have any issues with that) but when I click on the "Allow" I get an error stating that MS Edge client is blocking the extension with a really long random string of letters identifying the extension.
I am working very well with the creator (he really does stand by his product and his premium subscribers) but I also posted the problem on a MS forum but the MS professional on that forum that attempted to help was unable to help (I have no problem with that - I work on corp. help desks for 25 years so tech issues not being easily fixable are par for the course to me) and suggested I post my suggestion here for a similar feature to be created for extension permissions to the permissions for URLs. Having an allow/deny permissions feature for users to have the decision power in our own hands for extensions would be so helpful, so I am suggesting it here and hope it can be included in a future update.
Thank you for listening.
Sincerely,
Princess Wonder Woman
